Yoga Class

Today, for the first time in a looong time, I went to a yoga class.  Yay! for me.  It was really basic.  Super basic.  But that was just fine, especially since I still got that calming, rested feel at the end of class.  Love that!

After my restful and relaxing class, I made the mistake of eating a burrito.  Bizarre, I know, but I was hungry and so I had a lapse in judgement.  I figured a veggie burrito would have a lot of fresh veggies in it.  It did.  But it really confused my tummy.  Especially since I followed it up with hot apple cider from the farmer's market.  Live and learn.  I learned not to have any more burritos.  Especially, since I started off the day all nice and citrus with some juicy oranges.

When I came home, after the movies (saw the Wrestler) I had the most divine green juice.  Why don't I enjoy those every day? I think I will restart that tradition o'mine.  It was so delicious!!  I was super thirsty and the green juice TOTALLY quenched my thirst in the most wonderful way.

I heard about another free yoga class during the week, so I'll be going there probably on Monday.  Tomorrow, I think I will go for a nice long walk in the park and then maybe go ice skating.  Gotta make the best of living in this cold(ish) area of the country.

Not much else to share.  Except, I did see a whole bunch of pantsless people at Union Square after my yoga class.  A whole big crowd of people wearing nothing but their underwear from the waist down.  It was snowing, mind you.  From the waist up they were totally clothed, but from the waist down it was just underwear.  Now, that's something you just won't see in other cities, right?

So I am reminded why I continue to put up with the fierce cold winds of NYC winters.  You see and experience things here, that just don't happen in other places.  Still, I think I'd opt for tranquil hills of lush green grass and nighttime skies filled with stars, but I'll take random people freezing in their underwear, at least for today.

Ha!  I wanted to take a photo on my cell and text it out, but I thought that would be a bit rude. haha!  maybe not.
